Cape Elizabeth resident Lisa Fernandes who designs permacultures, agricultural systems to create a self-sustaining ecosystem, will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, March 8, at the Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church.
In a slide show, Fernandes will show how people and communities can use permaculture to address challenges of economic upheaval, climate change and peak oil.
The free event, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a half hour of food and refreshments, is open to all.
