The Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation will hold its annual Pasta with Purpose Community Celebration from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 4, in the Middle School/Pond Cove cafetorium. The event, which will include a dinner of spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert, will showcase programs and initiatives funded by the three school parents’ associations and the nonprofit CEEF, which funds educational initiatives that fall outside the school budget.
This year’s event also will feature art work and jazz by CEMS students, and a bazaar, where students will sell their art work. The evening will include a raffle of CEEF-donated registrations for the sold-out Beach to Beacon 10K, to be held Aug. 6 in town.
The event is $5 per person, $15 per family, and free for kids younger than 5. People planning to compete in the Pond Cove Challenge 5K race the following morning (see below) can pick up race packets at the dinner.
